The 2016 Farmer’s Market opening day is June 30th.

2016 Farmers' Market

The new season of the Wilkes-Barre Farmers’ Market will soon begin. Each week during the summer, we have something special planned for the whole family. Full of family fun, music, food, crafts and, of course, the highest quality fresh produce from local growers, the Wilkes-Barre Farmers’ Market is the place to be this summer!

Every Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. through November 17th.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The City of Wilkes-Barre would like to invite everyone to attended and participate in the 36th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Each year seems to be better than the last and this year will be no exception.

2016 Cherry Blossom Festival

Saturday, April 23 & Sunday April 24.
11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily

On April 23 and 24, Wilkes-Barre’s beautiful Kirby Park will welcome thousands to the Cherry Blossom Festival. This year, we are proud to present two days of free, family-friendly entertainment, as well as delicious food, fun rides and handmade arts and crafts.


2016 Christmas Parade

On Saturday, November 19, 2016, the streets of downtown Wilkes-Barre will bustle with the spixmas treerit of the holidays with the return of Wilkes-Barre City’s Christmas Parade!

From October 1st through November 1st The City of Wilkes-Barre will be looking for a donated christmas tree to be placed on Public Square for the holiday season. If you are interested in donating this years tree please call (570) 208-4149.
